ANNUAL NOTIFICATION OF NONDISCRIMINATION (For Vocational Education Programs)

TO: All parents, Students, Employees, Job Applicants and General Public

RE:          Compliance with Title IX, Section 504, ADA and the Florida Educational Equity Act 

 

The Jackson County School District offers the following Career and Technical programs to high school students wherein they may earn an Industry Certification: Agricultural Communications; Agritechnology; Agricultural Sales and Service; Computer Science Principles; Technical Agricultural Operations; Building Trades and Construction Technology; Culinary Arts; Digital Design; Digital Media/Multimedia Design; Early Childhood Education; Engineering Pathways; Landscape Operations; Marketing, Management, and Entrepreneurship Principles; and/or Principles of Teaching.  Advance Manufacturing is in the development stages at this time.

Lack of English Language skills will not be a barrier to admission and participation. The district may assess each student's ability to benefit from specific programs through placement tests and counseling, and, if necessary, will provide services or referrals to better prepare students for successful participation. 

The School Board Policy and the Procedures related to the prohibition of discrimination and the grievance procedures for resolution of a complaint, are available upon request in each school office or the district superintendent's office.

POLICY OF NONDISCRIMINATION (Continuous)
