Career, Technical, and Adult Education

Welcome to the department of Career, Technical, and Adult Education for the Jackson County School District. It is our goal to provide our region with a quality workforce while helping students attain their career and college goals. We offer a variety of programs across the district to meet our student’s and communities’ needs. We work with several local, state, and federal agencies to advance the cause of workforce education.

The Jackson County School District Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs promote practical application of academic advancement by providing the bridge to job training and employability skills. Students participate in programs that result in post-secondary workforce certificates and/or associates or bachelor’s degrees. Middle school courses introduce students to explore career pathways. High school career-themed courses provide career and technical pathways in a variety of career clusters. The course content for both middle and high school students prepare them for industry certification exams which equip our students with a credential that makes them more marketable and often makes them immediately employable.  Career, Technical and Adult Education provides students with the opportunity to link academic content to real life application while fostering a love for lifelong learning!

The office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education is located at 4294 Liddon Street, Marianna, FL 32446 on the old Marianna High School Campus.

Mission Statement:

Equipping the future citizens of Jackson County for a competitive workforce, continuing education and life application skills through Career, Technical, and Adult Education.
