Jackson County recognizes and accepts the opportunity offered by the Enhancing Education
         through Technology grants to assist Jackson County high school students in the mastery of
        the Florida Sunshine State Standards and college assessment tests.  If students are to perform
        the complex and high level tasks demanded by these standards and are to participate fully in the
        information-saturated global economy, then modern multi-media computers and Internet access
        anytime/anyplace must be made available.  Teachers must have the tools, training and support
        needed to assist students in acquiring these skills and in experiencing educational and cultural
        resources not available in our rural community.

        The High Schools Technology Enhanced Classrooms will embody true technology integration of
        21st Century skills, higher expectations, and more importantly, will improve student motivation,
        attitude and interest in learning.
