Jackson County Early Childhood Programs is committed to wellness and embraces a comprehensive vision of health for children and families.  The objective is to ensure that through collaboration among families, staff and health professionals, all child health and developmental concerns are identified.  Our goal is to link families to an on-going source of continuous and accessible care to meet their basic health needs.

We also promote child wellness by providing nutrition services that supplement and complement those of home and community.  We assist families in meeting each child's nutrition needs and in establishing good eating habits that nurture healthy development.

Health Services

A registered nurse oversees the health and dental needs of our students.  Dental services are contracted with the Jackson County Health Department, "Smiles on Wheels" and land-based clinic, as well as other participating dentists.

Nutrition services are available through the district contracted provider, Sodexo.  All students receive free breakfast, lunch and snack during the school day.
