Each employee of the Jackson County School District receives, at least annualy, a performance appraisal completed by the immediate administrative superviser. The purpose of the annual evaluation is to give feedback on performance and for growth and improvement of services for all departments.
As part of the Race to the Top Initiative and to meet Florida Legislative mandates, the Jackson County Teacher Evaluation System was revised through a collaborative effort between the Jackson County School District and Jackson County Educator's Association. The new system was ratified by employees on September 23, 2011 and received full approval by the Florida Department of Education on December 16, 2011.
